Front End Developer

We're in search of a Frontend Developer to join the Saia Agrobotics team. Our innovative start-up revolutionises the greenhouse sector with state-of-the-art robotics, dramatically reducing labor costs and helping the environment by cutting back on energy, land and water consumption.
Are you an experienced and passionate software engineer that can help us build the software platform that powers this exciting new technology? This isn't your run-of-the-mill web application; we're combining the latest in web technologies, industrial automation and AI. We need an engineer that loves to learn and with an eye for detail.
In this role, you'll be working with a mix of AI enthusiasts, plant lovers, and mechanical and electrical engineers. Our crew is young, motivated, and passionate about robots, tech, plants, and good food. We work efficiently, and there's always room for a good laugh.
We need someone who sees the bigger picture, spots potential roadblocks, and isn't afraid to seek advice when needed. We're into critical thinkers who can easily chat with anyone in the company. At Saia, we're big on owning your work and taking the lead. Your go-to person? Andrew Kelly, our Lead Software Architect.
Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or similar field)
- Proficient in English, proficiency in Dutch a plus
- Experience with Typescript (5 years minimum)
- Experience building SPAs with Nuxt / Vue.js or similar frameworks
- Experience in end-to-end testing with frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium
- Strong grounding in responsive design principles (targeting desktop / tablet / mobile)
- Proficient in UX design and agile development
- Familiarity with OpenAPI and API-first development
- Experience with internationalisation (i18n)
- Graphic design experience would be a plus (because everyone likes a pretty UI)
- Bonus points if you've heard of ISA-101.01-2015 or have previous experience building HMIs
